Do you agree the Lakers 2010 playoff squad is deeper than their 2002 squad?

Here are the games, minutes, and nba 2k2 and 2k10 ratings of the 2010 and 2002 squads in the playoffs:

2002 squad
1. Kobe: 19 games, ~44 mpg 99/100 player rating
2. Shaq: 19 games, ~40 minutes/game, 99/100 player rating
3. Horry: 19 games, ~37 mpg, 78/100 player rating
4. Fisher: 19 games, ~34 mpg, 74/100 player rating
5. Fox: 19 games, ~34 mpg, 77/100 player rating
6. Devean George: 19 games, ~17 mpg, 73/100 player rating
7. Samaki Walker: 19 games, ~12 mpg, 67/100 player rating
8. Brian Shaw: 19 games, ~12 mpg, 68/100 player rating
Of the 8 guys that got the most minutes in the Lakers 2002 playoff squads the average player rating is 80

Now here’s the 2010 squad

2010 squad
1. Kobe: 23 games, ~40 mpg 99/100 player rating
2. Pau Gasol: 23 games, ~40 minutes/game, 96/100 player rating
3. Ron Artest: 23 games, ~37 mpg, 85/100 player rating
4. Fisher: 23 games, ~33 mpg, 72/100 player rating
5. Lamar Odom: 23 games, ~29 mpg, 85/100 player rating
6. Andrew Bynum: 23 games, ~25 mpg, 88/100 player rating
7. Shannon Brown: 23 games, ~14 mpg, 79/100 player rating
8. Jordan Farmar: 23 games, ~12 mpg, 79/100 player rating
Of the 8 guys that got the most minutes in the Lakers 2010 playoff squads the average player rating is 86 which is a bit better than the other squad and shows some more depth

The Lakers 2002 had a large dropoff from Shaq and Kobe (both 99s) to Fisher/Fox/Horry (average rating of the 3 about 77). The Lakers 2010 while Kobe (99) and Gasol (96) is not as good as 2002 shaq/kobe, the average rating of the next three highest rated players Bynum(88)/Odom(85)/Artest(85) is 86 which is a lot better than fisher/fox/horry.

do you all agree with this?

Andrew Demitriou was on the fox sports tv show "AFL on the couch" on monday. Brian Taylor said to him "well clearly you would be happy with the grand final replay because the money is more inportant than the credibility of the game". Now Demitriou strongly denied it but dont we all agree with BT on that? going back to the one thing i always talk about – fitzroy, now that doesnt have so much to do with credibility but have a quick read of this article

doesnt have much to do with credibility but after reading that i supports what i say the AFL is now about the money not the people and it kind of does damage the credibility because it was their way of saying "stuff the fans, we cant lose money" pretty much. this is more of the argument but monday night basically what BT was getting at is that the AFL stick with an old outdated rule (which damages the credibility) that the players and many others hate in the name of MONEY. do you agree with this and what are your thoughts on the matter?
i forgot to mention he also said they are a not for profit organisation, what a load that is.

Has there been any players you didn't expect to perform as well as they have in the playoffs?

I have a huge hatred for Jordan Staal, and will think he’s overrated no matter what, but he has shown some light in this postseason enough for me to give him kudos. Chris Osgood has been lights out. Doug Helm and Tyler Kennedy have been little speedsters with pure grit. Dan Cleary. Brent Seabrook. Marc Savard. Lucic. There are sooo many out there.

Yes. I think he’s well overrated. Just imagine the team had they picked Toews instead? Staal was never chosen to be this "great defensive forward". He was picked for his size and scoring ability, and he rarely uses or does either. You’re right. He’s a big dumb oaf who reminds me of Lurch from the Addams Family. When he did an interview after the game, he took out his mouthpiece, let out a groan, and said "Youuu rraaanngg?"

Does anyone know about the supposed Bioshock movie they were supposedly making?

I heard somewhere that they were waiting to see how Bioshock 2 did and that it would need a really strong base to go forward because of how costly the movie would be! Please provide sources if you have any!

And I know this might be alittle bit of FF but I already have a dreamcast for this movie!

Frank Fontaine: Kevin Spacey (great match to me)
Brigid Tenenbaum: Megan Fox (why not?)
Andrew Ryan: Daniel Day Lewis (because he is that awesome)
Jack Ryan: Channing Tatum (sorry he’s as close as they come to me)
Sander Cohen- Robin Williams (once again why not?)

So Now that the Bills won, will Losman ever start for them again?

I’ve hated JP Losman for as long as he’s been on the Bills. Now that Trent Edwards sparked the Bills offense a little, will Losman get the starting job back? I know the odds are good as of now that he will, but what if Edwards plays better next week? Losman’s played over 30 games in the Bills offense and still hasn’t shown he can be a legit QB. He has failed to make the Bills offense better. He’s been a disgrace to the Bills and unworthy to say he played the same position as Jim Kelly. No one can deny that Losman has consistently been one of the 5 worst starting QBs in the NFL. If he was on any other team that actually cared about winning, he would have lost his job a long time ago. Today, Edwards threw for more yards than Losman has in any game hes started this season. I know, I know, its only one game and they did play the Jets, but still I think Edwards really made Losman look bad. Do any of you see Edwards keeping the job? I think Losmans days as one of the Bills are numbered.

Should I pick up Derek Anderson? Ryan Grant?

I’m wondering if Derek Anderson has finally figured out his game, or if last night was a fluke. I used my 4th round pick on him, but dropped him for Jason Campbell after not producing for 5 weeks. My question is: Should I drop Jason Campbell for Derek Anderson?

Also, has Ryan Grant gotten back on track?

Andrew Siciliano show comments on NFL QB racism?

Did anyone hear Andrew’s show on Fox on Thurs. night? He read an article from a Lousiania paper talking about how the author thought the NFL is racist and Aaron Brooks is being kept out due to such. He compared Aaron Brooks’s play HIS LAST 3 YRS IN NFL to Favre’s LAST 3 YRS IN NFL IN THAT SAME TIME(not 07). He asked why Favre didn’t get cut and everyone said "Brooks sucks and is an idiot." While with Favre, people said "Oh Favre is just trying to make a play. He is like a kid with his love for the game."

Will the NBA assign 2 Chicagoans as referees for tonight's Celtics-Bulls game, again?

Boston Globe columnist Frank Dell’Apa points out that two of the officials from Game 4, Bill Kennedy and Dan Crawford, are from Chicago, and further claims that “an NBA source” saw members of Kennedy and Crawford’s family sporting Bulls gear at the game. And this proves that the refs had it in for the Celtics all along.
