I hope she wins. If the law suit is about character defamation then she definitely has a case. Even after the whole video was revealed Andrew Breitbart won’t admit that he was wrong in maliciously editing the video.
End Libtardation’s answer is a perfect example of how manipulative Andrew was. End Libtardation STILL hasn’t heard the full story about how Sherrod was giving a speech about how she overcame her own racism and prejudice.
No. Fox hasn’t covered it.
Hope she wipes him clean. Don’t get mad, get a lawyer. Or revenge is a dish best served with a court summons.
I hope she accepts as many donations to her legal fund as she needs to make Breitbart suffer in the best possible place, his pocketbook.
Her case is good given that she is suing an individual for defamation of character. She is not suing the ‘press’.

A person cannot simply put anything they want to out there in the public eye, and assassinate a person’s character without being held accountable for it.

She probably won’t win, but it’s a symbolic gesture. Breitbart is finally caught with the proverbial pants-down. The guy is a master at spin, moreso than most.
For what! The clip I saw was contiguous and showed her admitting she screwed over a white farmer she perceived as trying to show he was "superior" to her. How is that "out of context"?

I don’t think she will win. I would have to see the details of the suit but as far as I can tell no law was broken and she is a public official and he didn’t directly say anything negative or untrue about her. gain I would have to see what her claim looks like..

If she can prevail against Breitbart, the same case-law can be used to shut down Huffington Post, MSNBC and whatever lib propaganda machine is out there. Just because you do not like press you don’t agree with, doesn’t mean it should be shut down.

She could possibly sue her employer under the EEO for race discrimination. She could sue NAACP for leaking the video in the first place. But all the media edits what it deems relevant portions and has been doing so forever.

Yes they have ! She wouldn’t if I was the jury she was asked to give her resignation, if she felt she was so innocent why did she give it ? I certainly wouldn’t have caved if I where innocent, I would have stayed and fought ! I mean come on she is a minority and a woman !

I don’t know, frankly, how to assess Ms. Sherrod’s chances in this lawsuit she is pursuing against Andrew Breitbart. Much, I am convinced, is likely to depend on the language in her lawsuit – if it is off base, Breitbart could get off on a technicality. However, whatever the results, I do believe that she would very much like to have Breitbart’s websites taken off the World Wide Web, and I anticipate that the dollar figure involved is apt to be very large.
