A new yeay a new Vizio monster screen but this time it comes in the shape of a vast 72 inch 3D flat screen tv. Last year's award winning model was the 55 inch backlit XVT including WiFi that came in at a very competitive $2k, now fast forward a year. This years offering with it's hi-tech, high-specification and a complete 72 inches of lcd panel may well attest to be the most tempting 3D tv system.

The top of the Vizio XVT family, due out in August, will include wireless Hi-def along with Vizio's internet applications widget platform and wireless-N all neatly packaged at the rear of an extraordinary 72 inches of glimmer free, 480HZ, 3D enabled LCD, and all for an excellent alledged $3.5K.

For anyone with a tight budget or residence then Vizio have alternative forty seven and 55 inch versions. These offer identical features including the 3D capability and on top of that will have a new anti-reflective to reduce that infuriating brightness when the illumination is not just right. The 47 inch version will be priced $2000 along with the 55 inch going out at $2500. For no apparent reason the company have not slotted a sixty something inch version in there, perhaps a judgment they will rue in the future as I do consider they could have missed out given the price point they have come in at with their range and the vast gap between the 55 and seventy two inch models (and price point).

All 3 models will benefit from 3D displays with Sensio specification in addition to those all important 3D lcd glasses from XpanD, their all singing, all dancing, bluetooth synchronized active shutter variety. A wireless hdmi adapter should be purchased separately, it has 4 hdmi 1.3 b cable inputs that may use the 60ghz band to blast hi def signals out.

It will take some time to get your head round it but it looks very much like this time around 3D is here to remain. Vizio have set a bench mark with the XVT 3D tv system collection. They may not win many design competitions but as far as large 3D flat screen tv goes, the prices will be extremely difficult to beat.
